CESA 6 is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our team and deliver classical instruction in core K-5 Music topics, including rhythm, melody, and harmony, while maintaining a joyful, orderly classroom aligned with our mission.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a valid Wisconsin teaching license, uses Socratic and hands-on teaching methods, collaborates with colleagues and parents, and commits to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education.
• Current Wisconsin DPI teaching license.
• Competencies in classroom management, learning strategies, and curriculum evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classical instruction in core K-5 Music topics.
• Plan and lead semesterly Fine Arts Nights.
• Use Socratic inquiry and classical teaching methods.
• Maintain a well-ordered, joyful classroom aligned with the mission.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support school initiatives.
• Build partnerships with parents through regular communication.
• Evaluate student performance with regular assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback to promote growth.
• Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
