Job summary

Addison Northwest School District Vergennes Union Elementary School in Vergennes, Vermont is seeking a highly qualified K-5 Health Educator. The Health Educator will deliver instruction to promote health-enhancing behaviors for students in grades K-5.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Vermont Professional Educator’s License with Health endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a culture for learning with high expectations and student pride in high-quality work.
• Integrates current best practices, research, and education laws into teaching plans and practices.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of students’ intellectual, social, and emotional characteristics and diverse needs.
• Effectively and efficiently manages classroom procedures including instructional groups, transitions, materials and supplies handling, and non-instructional duties.
• Communicates directions and procedures clearly, accurately, and effectively in spoken and written language.
