Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking an Assistant Teacher Apprentice Teacher for a K-5 program in Texas. You will support the lead teacher in delivering the Core Knowledge curriculum and help with daily classroom activities.

As an Apprentice Teacher, you learn under a Master Teacher with the aim of becoming a lead teacher in the future. A bachelor’s degree is not required in this role, and in some locations an AA, 60 college credits, or ParaPro exam may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Some locations may require assistant teachers to have an AA, 60 hours of college credit, or be able to pass a ParaPro proficiency exam before beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teacher in implementing a Core Knowledge curriculum.
• Assist as a second teacher in the classroom during apprenticeship.
• Collaborate with teachers to support instruction and classroom activities.

Education
