Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce behavior rules and procedures for students.
• Observe and evaluate student performance, behavior, and health.
• Set clear objectives for lessons and communicate them to students.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs and interests.
• Instruct in one or more subjects such as English, math, or social studies.
• Prepare and grade tests to evaluate progress.
• Plan activities to provide observation, questioning and exploration opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records as required by laws and policies.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for activities.
• Assign lessons and correct homework.
• Meet with parents/guardians and other staff to address student needs.
• Prepare students for subsequent grades and support their learning goals.
