Job summary

Alpha is seeking an instructional coordinator to lead K-2 reading workshops using structured-literacy methods (Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, or equivalent). You will work with authentic data to tailor small-group instruction.

You’ll conduct daily motivation sessions and monitor progress with running records and decoding assessments, leveraging AI-powered tools for dynamic differentiation and student engagement.

Qualifications

  • Structured-literacy certification OR a Master's in reading instruction.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of full-time K-2 reading instruction in past 5 years.
  • Ability to develop reading lessons and explain methods without scripted programs.
  • Experience assessing reading progress and articulating gains.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and facilitating small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy approaches, informed by authentic student data.
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions to achieve weekly adaptive-app targets.
  • Administering and evaluating running records, fluency probes, and decoding assessments.
  • Analyzing AI-generated performance data to differentiate instruction dynamically.
  • Serving as the energetic adult your K-2 students are excited to see each day.
