Job summary

The School District of Pickens County is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a multi-categorical K-2 class with SC Certification. The position follows the SDPC salary schedule, runs 190 days at 7.5 hours daily, and starts July 2026 for the 26-27 school year.

The teacher will implement student IEPs, adapt instruction to diverse needs, collaborate with the Principal and Director of Special Services, and participate in after‑hours and CPI/ safety duties as required.

Qualifications

• SC Certification in one of SPED areas (multi-cat or related).
• Ability to implement IEP goals and instructional adaptations.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction aligned to IEPs and standards.
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and CPI procedures as needed.
• Maintain orderly classrooms and manage time effectively.
• Document student progress and maintain records.
