Job summary

The Frances Xavier Warde School (FXW) seeks a Kindergarten to 2nd Grade teacher to join its two-teacher model in downtown Chicago. You will educate the whole child, develop engaging lessons, and partner with a co-teacher to differentiate instruction while fostering strong relationships with students and families.

Qualified candidates typically hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education; Illinois teaching certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education.
• A valid, issued State of Illinois teaching certificate is preferred.
• A master’s degree in a curriculum area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate the whole child in all subject areas within a two-teacher model.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to plan and differentiate instruction.
• Build positive relationships with students and families and maintain a supportive classroom environment.
