Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Eastpointe, MI on a contract-full-time basis, paid $40 per hour. The role involves delivering quality services to K–12 students under the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborating with general education staff to plan and implement student programs.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, valid state teaching certification, and preferred endorsements such as LBS1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborates with the Special Education Program Administrator in planning and implementing student programs.
• Participates in team planning and consultation with general education staff.
