Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to support K-12 students in the Washington, DC area. The role involves preventive work with students, families and staff, home visits, and collaboration with SST to design plans for at‑risk students.

The position covers direct counseling, group sessions, crisis intervention, and special education services under MDT/IEP processes, with opportunities to engage with community resources and court-related referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience preventive work with students, staff and families.
• Ability to consult school staff and parents to support student growth.
• Knowledge of environmental factors affecting student progress.
• Conduct home visits to strengthen home/school communication.
• Coordinate with SST to plan supports for at‑risk students.
• Coordinate services with community providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Deliver psycho-education and crisis interventions.
• Develop related services per IEPs including social and life skills.
• Participate in MDT/IEP meetings and progress reporting.
• Support MDT and behavior plan implementation in classrooms.
