Job summary

ESS is seeking a Full Time Paraprofessional for Hutchinson Elementary in Greensburg, PA. You will support the classroom teacher, reinforce instruction, and help supervise students to promote academic and personal growth.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and clearances (Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168) plus a TB test/physical. The position involves various duties from assisting with materials to supervising during meals and field trips.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PA Act 24 clearance is required.
• Act 34 criminal history clearance is required.
• Act 114 federal clearance is required.
• Act 151 child abuse clearance is required.
• Act 168 sexual misconduct disclosure release is required.
• Tuberculosis test/physical is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
