Job summary

ESS in Sharon, PA is seeking a Classroom Aide to support teachers and students in the Sharon City School District for the 26-27 school year. This paraprofessional role is offered as a full-time position with hourly pay in the $15.00–$15.32 range.

The paraprofessional assists in delivering instructional reinforcement, manages classroom activities, helps prepare materials, supervises students in various settings, and supports students with special needs in accordance with IEPs/504 Plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clearances: PA Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168.
• Tuberculosis Test/Physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
