Qualifications

• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Knowledge/background in the assigned sport.
• Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• Valid driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize athletics as a supplemental program to support the academic mission.
• Instruct athletes in fundamentals, sportsmanship, strategy and conditioning.
• Assist in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Assist in planning and scheduling regular practice in season.
• Maintain attendance forms, insurance records and other related documents.
• Assist in safety oversight in the facility during sport activities.
• Establish performance criteria for academic eligibility in interscholastic competition.
• Enforce code of conduct and sportsmanship; oversee penalties.
• Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, uniforms, etc.
