Job summary

Pleasant Hill High School in Pleasant Hill, Oregon is seeking a Boys JV Head Basketball Coach to direct the junior varsity program and align with the varsity team’s standards.

You will collaborate daily with the varsity coach on practices, teach fundamentals, manage game-day strategy, and develop players for varsity level, while promoting discipline, academics and character, and communicating with parents.

Qualifications

• High school coaching experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the sport.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Obtain fingerprint clearance.
• Possess or obtain First Aid Card and OSAA Coaching Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Directs all aspects of the junior varsity program in alignment with varsity and athletic department goals.
• Collaborate with varsity coach on practices, fundamentals, game-day strategy, and athlete evaluation.
• Foster team discipline, academic accountability and character; manage parent communication and program logistics.
