Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a JV Baseball Head Coach to lead and mentor student‑athletes within our Athletics program.

This temporary, part‑time role requires implementing the plan designed by the Athletics Director, attending coaches meetings, and counseling players.

Ideal candidates have coaching experience, strong communication, the ability to build character, and a sincere Christian faith aligned with Calvary Chapel’s Statement of Faith.

Qualifications

• A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ
• A strong commitment to the philosophies and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel
• Previous coaching experience in desired sport of application
• Excellent communication skills
• A good working relationship with children, parents and staff
• Able to control emotions; slow to anger
• Able to remain calm and organized during busy schedules
• Spiritally mature
• Able to counsel, comfort, and offer support to students
• Able to maintain order and structure in a large group of children
• Gifts of leadership, organization, and service
• Willingness to submit to authority
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Genuine love for our student-athletes and each other

The Coach provides assistance and training to the students and prepares them to perform in the capacity being trained for.

1 Peter 5:2-3 – Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
