Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a college/university and at least 1 year of social service experience.
• 1 year of full-time casework, counseling, or related work with juveniles.
• Graduate study in criminology, corrections, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a caseload of juvenile offenders and document progress for court purposes.
• Conduct interviews and develop supervision plans for juveniles and families.
• Administer drug tests and coordinate services with outside providers.
• Represent the department at court hearings and community meetings.
• Provide group presentations and education awareness activities.
