Job summary

The City of Hampton is seeking a Court Services Unit professional to supervise and support youth in detention and outreach programs. You will deliver case management, counseling interventions, and individualized support while collaborating with families and community partners.

This role includes detention visits, parent interviews, and accurate case documentation, guiding the Court on release decisions and conditions for community supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Social Sciences, Criminal Justice, Corrections, Social Work, Sociology, Human Resources, or closely related field.
• One year of full-time equivalent experience working directly with at-risk juvenile populations or juvenile offenders and families.
• Knowledge of juvenile/criminal justice process, local judicial system, family dynamics, and risk factors.
• Must be able to use a computer for case management; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Background check required before any offer or promotion.
