Commonwealth of Kentucky's Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Correctional Officer to maintain custody of detained youth and ensure a safe, structured environment at the Lexington facility. The role requires maturity, reliability, and strong adherence to procedures in a demanding juvenile detention setting.

At the apprenticeship level, the officer will participate in training, mandatory academy, and potential overtime.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be twenty years of age and have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains custody and control of juveniles in a detention setting.
• Supervises and monitors detained juveniles to ensure safety.
• Takes action during emergencies and stands watch in each unit.
• Assists juveniles in interpersonal skills development.
• Supports routine maintenance, checks premises, and attends trainings.
