Washington County Government is seeking a Juvenile Detention Officer to manage the daily operation of the Juvenile Detention Center. The role provides a safe, secure, and caring environment for up to 36 juveniles aged 10–18 and requires working overnight weekends.
Shifts are 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, Friday through Monday 9pm–7am, with on-call duties for emergencies and sick coverage. Applicants must meet background and security clearance requirements and may be subject to testing.

The Juvenile Detention Officer is responsible for the daily operation of the detention center. Juvenile Detention Officers provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for up to 36 juveniles ages 10-18. They will work a scheduled shift and be on-call as needed to accommodate officer(s) sick calls and facility emergencies.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required, this position is subject to pre-employment and reasonable suspicion testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
