Job summary

Anoka County is hiring Probation Officer Assistants for an on-site position at the Juvenile Center in Lino Lakes, MN. You will support residents, conduct well-being checks, maintain safety, and document behavior while working rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the required education.
• Must be 21 years of age or older by date of hire.
• Successfully pass driver's license background check.
• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle available for business use.

Responsibilities

• Follow DOC licensing standards including mandated resident well-being and high-risk checks.
• Facilitate intakes for new admissions.
• Complete audits on medication delivery, CSTS-FA intakes, youth property, and building supplies.
• Focus on pro-social skill development, use of rewards and sanctions, and diverse programming.
• Distribute medication, maintain care and custody of all residents in placement.
• Communicate with stakeholders and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain documentation of resident activity using systems and hardware.
• Respond to emergencies and call for assistance; intervene with appropriate force.
