Job summary

The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law seeks a Research Analyst to join a cutting-edge interdisciplinary team. You will conduct quantitative analyses and qualitative research to support justice policy reform initiatives, working with attorneys, associates, and other researchers.

Reporting to the Senior Research Fellow, you will help shape research methods, write reports, and engage external organizations to advance research efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or 2–3 years of applied data and research experience.
• Strong fluency with data science techniques and advanced experience using R or Stata.
• Excellent attention to detail with peer review practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research and data analysis using statistical programs (R, Stata, GIS).
• Conduct qualitative research for mixed methods projects, including interviews and surveys.
• Draft and edit research reports and journal articles.
