ERG is seeking an entry-level environmental professional to support projects within our Water Practice in Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate with an interest in water resources, water quality, and wastewater management. Coursework in water resources and wastewater management is required.

The selected candidate will provide project-level support on a variety of technical water projects. Candidates with an engineering background will be encouraged to pursue PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a focus on water or wastewater
• 0–1 year of professional experience
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and R
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Academic coursework or research in water resources or wastewater management

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project support across ERG's water-related projects
• Assist with research, data collection, and analysis related to water resources, water quality, wastewater management, and treatment
• Prepare technical reports and project deliverables
• Evaluate water and wastewater treatment needs, system performance, and costs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and project managers
• Assist with project coordination and administrative tasks
