Job summary

Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School is seeking a new Junior Varsity Cross Country Coach for the 2026 fall season.

Coaches should be or plan to become MIAA Certified Coach with CPR/First Aid and NFHS certifications (Sport Specific / Concussion). Responsibilities include planning practices, developing players, coordinating with the Head Coach and AD on travel and equipment, and ensuring school policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Yearly strong candidates must have high school/college level playing or coaching experience, leadership and communication skills, and a positive attitude daily.
• Coaches should be or plan to become MIAA Certified Coach, CPR / First Aid Certified, NFHS Certified (Sport Specific / Concussion).
• Adhere to and uphold Athletic program standards while following core values to foster student-athlete success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule regular practice plans and programs.
• Oversee off-season player development programs.
• Work with Head Coach and AD on scheduling and game day logistics (travel) and equipment inventory.
• Support and adhere to all School Policies and Expectations.
• Report scores of contests in an appropriate manner.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
