Job summary

Toth And Associates is seeking an entry-level Utility Planning Engineer - I/II for our Portland, OR office. This position involves modeling electric distribution systems and recommending upgrades while providing mentorship under senior engineers. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with strong interpersonal skills and a foundation in electrical concepts.

Responsibilities include design management, project coordination, and client interaction. A BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with a focus on power systems courses preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
• EIT certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Coursework in power systems, electric machines, or power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and management of assigned engineering projects.
• Develop design documentation and coordinate project completion.
• Perform detailed calculations for manufacturing and construction standards.

Skills

Proficiency with Excel

Interpersonal and written communication skills

Understanding of core power concepts

Education

BS degree in Electrical Engineering

Tools

Power systems analysis software (Milsoft, CYME, Synergi, PowerWorld, Aspen)

Programming languages (Python, VBA)
