Job summary

Job description

Foley & Lardner is seeking a corporate associate to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Detroit office. This position involves primarily working on mergers and acquisitions and other sophisticated business transactions, including significant middle-market private equity matters. The associate will be joining an energetic and collaborative culture that values character, work ethic, and personal and professional development.

Qualified candidates will have 2-4 years of experience working on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, financings, securities, corporate governance matters, and other commercial transactions, in addition to general corporate experience. Experience representing private equity sponsors and portfolio companies in middle-market M&A transactions is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong document drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and an exceptional work ethic.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $240,000 - $310,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
