Job summary

Sparksoft is seeking a Junior Tester to help drive quality across government-focused projects. You will execute manual test cases, support basic automated tests, and log defects in JIRA or Confluence. You’ll work with Agile teams during sprints to ensure features meet acceptance criteria.

The role requires 1–3 years in functional testing and familiarity with Java and JavaScript. A Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience with Functional Testing and test case development.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with Java and JavaScript.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies and test automation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements and user stories to execute manual (and basic automated) test cases.
  • Identify, log, and track software bugs using tracking tools
  • Perform regression testing after bug fixes or new feature deployments to ensure existing features remain stable.
  • Create and update test documentation, test scripts, and end-of-cycle status reports.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams during sprint planning, testing, and defect resolution.
