Job summary

Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Staff in the Commercial Tax Services (CTS) Department in San Diego. The role involves preparing federal and state returns, extensions and quarterly projections for diverse clients, while coordinating with the team to ensure compliant deliverables.

You will organize tax information, assist with notices and examinations, and participate in audits, research, and training to grow technical expertise in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws—corporate, individual, trust, gifts and partnerships.
• CPA eligibility preferred and strong accounting principles knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares federal and state tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual).
• Organizes tax information and assists with tax notices and examinations.
• Assists with tax audits, performs light research, and reviews financial information.
• Communicates with Senior and/or Manager on work status and client issues.
• Collaborates with other tax professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participates in training programs to develop technical knowledge and industry expertise.
