Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Salex Company, is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support Windows servers, Windows 11 desktops, and network infrastructure at Patuxent River, MD. The role covers lab environments, asset management for 75 users and 125 devices, and compliance with information assurance requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of system administration experience, knowledge of ACAS, and a Security+ certification. On-site work with a TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of system administration experience.
• Knowledge/exposure to ACAS.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to manage servers and security requirements.
• Security clearance: US Citizenship and TS level.
• Security-conscious in all aspects.

Responsibilities

• Perform ACAS / SCAPs on machines to look for vulnerabilities and apply patches to remediate.
• Build, maintain and harden workstations and laptops.
• Upgrade and configure data systems, administer operating systems, and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
• Install, configure, and support an organization's LAN/WAN/Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Administer network security measures.
• Gather information for submittal to the ISSO for ATO on EMASS IDs.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Junior Systems Administrator (Finance)

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company is seeking Junior Systems Administrator in Patuxent River, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuration, deployment and maintaining Windows servers, Windows 11 desktop systems, Network infrastructure and compliance with information assurance requirements. Candidate will create and maintain lab test and development environments. Candidate will support 75 users / 125 computer assets / printers / network connectivity in the building.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $65k-$85k annually (depending on experience)

Work Location: Full-time onsite (see onsite requirements below)

On-site Requirements

This position is not eligible for reoccurring telework, and will require an onsite presence at Patuxent River NAS for greater than or equal to 90% of the work week.

Essential Functions

• Perform ACAS / SCAPs on machines to look for vulnerabilities and apply patches to remediate.
• Build, Maintain and harden workstations and laptops.
• Upgrade and configure data systems, administer operating systems, and maintain basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups.
• Responsible for gathering all information (drawing, hardware/software list, PAA's, etc for submittal to the ISSO for an ATO on EMASS ID 12900 and EMASS ID 3699
• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Administer network security measures.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
