Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team in Chandler, AZ. You will perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks on diverse projects from studies to detailed engineering, under senior supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and designers, CAD/BIM proficiency, and a focus on technical growth within a dynamic global environment. 0–5 years of experience and relevant education are preferred.

We are currently seeking a Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team. The successful candidate would have opportunities to work on a variety of projects within the Energy and Resource sector ranging from studies to detailed engineering and construction support for projects in North America and across the world. Your Key Responsibilities

• You are expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Stantec Safety Culture and in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its clients.
• Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for a wide variety of projects.
• Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality design deliverables with the appropriate level of detail.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Practical experience and understanding of design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Practical experience and understanding of CAD/BIM tools.
• Competent in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong sense of teamwork, especially in remote collaborative environments.
• An openness to grasp and adapt to new software or design techniques.
• A basic understanding of design concepts, with an emphasis on structural design.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of Technical or College Course in Design/Drafting, or the ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge received from previous experience in a similar position.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry.
