Job summary

Burkert USA Corp seeks a Junior Staff Accountant to support the VP of Finance and assist in accounting and finance processes for USA and Canada operations. This role offers an entry into the accounting field with a strong numbers affinity and computer skills in a team environment.

You will handle data analysis, A/R activities, reporting, master data maintenance, budgets, audits, and process improvements. English required; German/French helpful.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field or a minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Strong analytical skills.
• PowerBI, Excel helpful but not required; SAP helpful but not required.
• English required; German and French helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis.
• Assist Staff Accountants A/R in day-to-day activities.
• Assist A/R with meaningful reports.
• Assist with master data maintenance.
• Assist with audits of the company's accounts both internally and externally.
• Assist with annual budget preparation.
• Evaluate current processes for efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Participation in accounting specific projects.
