Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join the accounting team in Ohio. The role supports month-end close, general ledger reconciliation, AR, fixed assets, and financial reporting while assisting audits.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 1–2 years of accounting experience; NetSuite or SAP experience is preferred, with advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience (accounts payable or general accounting preferred).
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
• Experience with accounting and business management software; NetSuite or SAP experience is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Support accounts receivable functions.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and related records.
• Prepare and analyze company financial reports.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to support daily financial operations and process improvements.
