Job summary

cFocus Software seeks a Jr. Software Engineer to join our program supporting the United States Air Force. This onsite role is located in Ellsworth, South Dakota and requires a TS/SCI SSBI clearance.

You will contribute to design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has a B.S. in CS/IT, 2+ years of software engineering experience, and strong skills in secure development, testing, and system integration with WebSphere

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI SSBI clearance is required.
• 2+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Advanced software engineering experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Experience with secure software development and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience designing and executing unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with WebSphere, DB2, and Windows/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mission, functional, technical, cybersecurity, interface, and sustainment requirements into implementable designs.
• Design, develop, modify, integrate, debug, and sustain application components and services.
• Evaluate system modifications, identify risks, and develop corrective engineering solutions.
• Perform secure software engineering and implement security controls and data protection.
• Maintain development/test environments and perform deployment-validation testing.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel on RMF controls and continuous monitoring.
• Provide Level III escalation support through advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain source code, build materials, and documentation under version control.
