Job summary

Epsilon C5I, a division of Epsilon Systems Solutions, is seeking a Junior Software Engineer (SE2) to join the Dayton team building secure, scalable, cloud‑native applications.

You will develop frontend components with JavaScript/React, create backend services in Go, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Argo, while ensuring security and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology is required.
• Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks, preferably React.
• Basic understanding of Go or willingness to learn backend development in Go.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows (branches, merge requests, commits).
• Introductory knowledge of relational databases (MariaDB or PostgreSQL).
• Ability to follow CI/CD concepts and participate in pipeline development.
• Willingness to work with application deployment tools such as Argo.

Responsibilities

• Develop user‑facing components using JavaScript and React.

We are seeking a skilled Junior Software Engineer (SE2) to join our dynamic team in building secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. The Junior Software Engineer will support the design, development, and maintenance of full‑stack applications across modern cloud‑native environments. This role involves building responsive front‑end features, implementing backend services, maintaining CI/CD automation, and working with relational databases. Required Qualifications

• Minimum years of experience: 5-9
• Applicant Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI access
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
• Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks, preferably React.
• Basic understanding of Go or willingness to learn backend development in Go.
• Familiarity with Git‑based workflows (branches, merge requests, commits).
• Introductory knowledge of relational databases (MariaDB or PostgreSQL).
• Ability to follow CI/CD concepts and participate in pipeline development.
• Willingness to work with application deployment tools such as Argo.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) or Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience writing SQL queries or designing database schemas.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, automation tools, or DevOps practices.
