Aquatic Capital is a quantitative investment manager with offices in Chicago and New York. We hire Early Career software engineers who rotate through 2 or 3 technology teams, creating systems that impact profitability and scale through research-driven engineering.

You will work closely with senior engineers, applying Python or C++ to build robust systems while learning design, testing, and software practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience building software with Python or C++.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong quantitative skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work 1-on-1 with senior engineers who will mentor you in each tech rotation.
• Apply hands-on software development using Python or C++.
• Learn software design and testing techniques, such as refactoring and test-driven development.
