Job summary

Ballard Spahr seeks a Junior Software Engineer to join its Information Technology team. You will develop web apps, APIs, and modernize systems using C#/.NET, React/Next.js, and Azure cloud services.

You will help build reports with Power BI/SSRS, manage data in SQL, and participate in CI/CD pipelines. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders across the firm, code reviews, and contributing to Generative AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience preferred.
• Hands-on with C#/.NET and web development.
• Experience building responsive apps with React/Next.js and JS/TS.
• Foundational SQL, data management, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, and Power Platform.
• Exposure to Docker and Generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications using C# and .NET.
• Design, build, and support APIs powering business apps.
• Migrate systems toward ReactJS and Next.js.
• Support legacy MVC and AngularJS apps.
• Develop reports with Power BI and SSRS.
• Query and manage data in SQL databases.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist with Azure-hosted apps, including App Services and Functions.
• Work with Docker and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• Support Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver software solutions.
• Troubleshoot defects and participate in code reviews.
• Suggest improvements to apps and processes.
• Support Generative AI initiatives.
