Job summary

Energy Solutions is hiring a Software Engineer I to join the Information Systems team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and enhancing software solutions in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications and support the full software development lifecycle. The position is hybrid, with offices in Oakland, CA; Orange, CA; New York, NY; Portland, OR; Chicago, IL; and Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1 year of relevant experience including internships, co-ops, projects, or professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications.
• Create and execute unit tests to verify software functionality and quality.
• Troubleshoot routine defects and issues; escalate complex ones as needed.
• Document code changes, testing activities, and solutions for maintainability.
• Participate in sprint reviews, planning, and daily stand-ups.
• Assist with deployment and release validation across environments.
