Job summary

Chameleon Integrated Services is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to perform sustainment, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and configuration tasks under senior direction. You will develop or modify software components, support WebSphere and DB2 integration, review logs, reproduce defects, and assist with deployments.

This role requires hands‑on development experience and DoD 8570/8140 pathway eligibility.

Qualifications

• Actual development, scripting, configuration, test, or application-support duties.
• WebSphere, DB2 integration, or enterprise Java/middleware exposure where applicable.
• Defect analysis using logs or debugging tools.
• Controlled development/test environment experience.
• Formal change-ticket or release participation.
• Candidate-authored code, scripts, test records, configuration documents, or technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify assigned software components, scripts, configurations, or interfaces.
• Support WebSphere and DB2 application integration.
• Review application and middleware logs.
• Reproduce defects and document technical findings.
• Support corrective changes and routine sustainment.
• Develop or execute functional, integration, regression, patch, and deployment tests.
• Maintain test records, configuration information, and technical documentation.
• Assist with deployment validation and post‑deployment checks.
• Escalate architecture, security, data‑integrity, and production readiness issues.
