Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a Software Developer to contribute to Data Quality platforms within an agile team in the financial services space. You will develop, test, and maintain multi-tier Java/Python applications, write unit tests, review code, and participate in daily standups and sprint planning.

The role requires 2–3 years of commercial development experience, familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Kubernetes, Kafka, Snowflake, AWS/Azure), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of commercial software development.
• Experience in micro-services architecture and cloud computing is highly desirable.
• Knowledgeable of commercial software development and core Java with multithreading.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector.
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions within business and technical problem domains.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs using cloud computing with Java, Python, or related languages.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure high quality end products.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and agile process.
• Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs and propose solutions.
