Job summary

Unrivaled is seeking an early-career Jr. Software Engineer to join a collaborative, product-focused engineering team. You will contribute across our web platform, mobile app, and internal systems while gaining full-stack experience.

You’ll work on fan-facing features, internal tools, and platform integrations, with opportunities to grow alongside experienced engineers in a fast-paced startup-like environment in Miami.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building customer-facing web applications.
• Strong foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience building applications with React.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
• Experience working with Git, pull requests, and collaborative software development workflows.
• Experience integrating APIs and debugging production applications.
• Ability to understand and extend an existing codebase while following established engineering patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance fan-facing product experiences, including player profiles, game statistics, live scoring, fan voting, challenges, newsletters, and other interactive features.
• Develop internal tools that support league operations, content management, player administration, media workflows, and game operations.
• Contribute to full-stack product development, including user interfaces, server-side functionality, database interactions, validation, and application security.
• Maintain and improve integrations with third-party platforms and internal services.
• Help build and enhance our Expo/React Native mobile application.
• Troubleshoot bugs, improve application performance, and contribute to ongoing platform stability.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates to maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to deliver features that improve the fan and employee experience.
