CorEMR LC in Orem, UT is seeking a Junior Developer for its web-based Electronic Medical Records platform. This full-time role requires PHP coding, SQL troubleshooting, and JavaScript with front-end exposure; you will support a nationwide medical staff and fellow developers.

You’ll learn an existing code base, contribute bug fixes, and participate in on-call rotations with on-site hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Job description

We are looking for a Junior Developer for our web-based Electronic Medical Records software.

You should be experienced in writing PHP code, in writing/troubleshooting SQL, and be comfortable with Microsoft operating systems. You should also be able to write JavaScript and have some experience with front-end design.

Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are critical, as you’ll be working with other developers, IT professionals, and medical staff throughout the country. Being able to provide friendly support is a must.

Not only will you be developing new code, you’ll also be supporting an existing code base that you will be required to learn. You will troubleshoot and eliminate bugs in our software and help our Support Staff diagnose software issues through investigation and research.

This is a full-time position in our Orem, Utah office with hours between 8am and 5pm, weekdays. This is not a remote position. Developers are expected to be part of our “On-Call” schedule, which will require that you be accessible (with a computer and internet access) 24/7 during your periodic rotation.

Compensation is DOE – starting salary is $60k - $70k per year depending on previous experience.

Responsibilities

• PHP – You don’t need to be a guru, but you better have a solid handle on it. Prior projects in PHP as a demonstration of your prowess are welcome.
• JavaScript – This stuff is everywhere. Again, we don’t need a guru but solid experience is appreciated.
• SQL – As in Structured Query Language. You will be working on a web-based application with access to a database backend. Basic SQL chops are needed.
• Microsoft – We’re a Microsoft shop. Be comfortable with it.
