Job summary

Hoerbiger Rotary Solutions/Deublin Company in Waukegan, IL seeks an Entry Level Product Engineer for slip rings. You will assist in the full product life cycle, design new products with CAD, test for quality and reliability, and support manufacturing on early builds.

This role offers a hybrid on-site work model with potential for some home-office days after a 90-day period; travel to customer sites can be up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Design of new products through CAD techniques, calculations and testing.
• Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Collaborate effectively within a small cross-functional engineering team.
• Interpret mathematical and geometric concepts for design and analysis.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Application support of slip ring product line with customers via email, phone, web meetings, and in person visits.
• Review project assignments with supervisor to establish project objectives, schedules and costs.
• Design and develop sliding contact slip rings based on customer specifications, company and industry standards.
• Determine sources for new parts and support procurement in qualifying the supplier.
• Create design concepts, models and drawings in CAD.
• Product validation, HALT, verification and testing using various instruments.
