605 Repair is looking for a dependable Junior Service Technician to join our team in Rapid City, SD. You’ll work with an experienced technician to learn drywall, painting, carpentry, and general property maintenance.

This role is ideal for someone with basic handyman experience who wants hands-on training and growth, focusing on quality workmanship and professional communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in basic construction, maintenance, remodeling, or handyman work is preferred.
• Comfort using common hand and power tools on small to mid-size repairs.
• Keen mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Reliable, punctual, and focused on quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and follow instruction from senior technicians.
• Ability to work independently as skills develop and document progress.

Responsibilities

• Patch drywall and repair surfaces as needed.
• Paint interior and exterior areas and perform touch-ups.
• Perform trim, finish carpentry, and hardware repairs.
• Repair doors and fittings, rails, and deck components.
• Install shelving, fixtures, TV mounts, and artwork as required.
• Address minor flooring and tile repairs.
• Handle general property maintenance tasks.
• Prepare homes for sale with finishing improvements.
• Complete inspection-related repairs and follow up as directed.
• Perform maintenance and repairs for various property types.
• Assist Senior Technician on larger or complex projects.

605 Repair is growing, and we are looking for a dependable, motivated Junior Service Technician to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has some construction, maintenance, remodeling, or handyman experience but wants to continue developing their skills. You do not need to know how to do everything on day one. You will work alongside an experienced Service Technician who will help train you in the wide variety of repair and maintenance work we perform.

What You’ll Do

Our work changes from day to day and may include:

• Drywall patching and repair
• Interior and exterior painting and touch-ups
• Trim and finish carpentry
• Door and hardware repairs
• Deck and railing repairs
• Shelving, artwork, TV mounts, and fixture installation
• Minor flooring and tile repairs
• General property maintenance
• Preparing homes for sale
• Completing inspection-related repairs
• Maintenance and repair work for homeowners, property managers, and commercial properties
• Assisting our Senior Service Technician on larger or more complex projects
