Job summary

ANALYGENCE in Washington, DC is seeking a Junior Security Engineer to support cybersecurity across enterprise audit, cloud, and Zero Trust architecture in a government SCIF. You will maintain security tooling (ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, SonarQube, GitLab), automate STIGs, and help build dashboards and the Zero Trust roadmap the enterprise relies on.

The role requires a BS in IT/Cybersecurity or 4+ years in IT, at least 1 year in security engineering or DevSecOps, and a TS/SCI clearance with U.S.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent IT/cybersecurity experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in security engineering, systems administration, or DevSecOps.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship; willingness to undergo a DHS counterintelligence-scope polygraph.
• Proficiency with automation tools to include Python or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update cybersecurity tools including ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, SonarQube, and GitLab.
• Develop and troubleshoot scripts that automate STIG application and validation within the DevSecOps pipeline.
• Organize security tool data into near-real-time dashboards in the GRC or approved tool.
• Support Zero Trust capability gap analysis, the Zero Trust roadmap, and Zero Trust dashboards.
• Maintain a tracking tool for network device end-of-life and end-of-service dates.
