Job summary

Koniag Energy & Water is hiring a Security & Communications Junior Project Manager to support field projects involving video surveillance, networking, and physical security systems. This developmental role learns KEW project-management practices while assisting with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to learn new technical and business processes; prior PM experience not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate risks or changes promptly.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn scheduling, cost-control, and document management tools.
• Valid driver license and ability to satisfy site access, background checks, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with security, surveillance, networking, and related projects from planning through closeout.
• Help develop execution plans, budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
• Review contracts and drawings to identify scope gaps and risks with guidance.
• Coordinate with field crews, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure access and material readiness.
• Track costs, labor productivity, and forecast metrics; escalate variances promptly.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, procurement records, and turnover documents.
• Support IP cameras, VMS, network switches, cabling, and system integration.
• Assist with tower/elevated work coordination, safety planning, and site requirements.
• Participate in meetings; document decisions, owners, due dates, and acceptance criteria.
