Job summary

Precision Walls, Inc. is seeking a Junior Drywall Sales/Estimator to join our team. You will need to communicate effectively, develop and deliver presentations, and prepare cost estimates for projects in the construction industry.

This role offers growth opportunities within an employee-owned company and exposure to diverse commercial drywall work. You will read blueprints, understand building components, and build relationships with customers to create repeat business.

Qualifications

• Commercial Drywall Construction background.
• Talented communication skills: In-person, verbal, and written.
• Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focus.
• Team learner and leader- must have growth mindset.
• Dedicated to customer service, outgoing, and likable attitude.
• Understands and can instruct drywall and ceiling industry’s labor, materials and methods.
• Exhibits high attention to detail.
• Computer and technology savvy: Estimating software - Quick Bid/On-Screen Takeoff.
• Ability to form strong relationships with customers to create repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively as part of a team and understand sales and negotiating techniques.
• Develop and deliver presentations.
• Develop and present building estimates and feasibility studies.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manuals.
• Maintain technical knowledge of building components and their function.
• Knowledge of building components life cycle values and maintenance requirements.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and/or supervision to architects, structural engineers, and independent building contractors.
• Knowledge of the operating practices of construction, architectural, and building firms.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
• Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
• Ability to make complex operating, administrative, and procedural decisions.
• Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
• Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
