Job Purpose
The Junior Sales Associate at The Queen Theater is responsible for booking, negotiating, relationship building, and executing Special Events within the music venue. The role involves working with the Director of Events and senior leadership to achieve venue goals set by the General Manager. The Junior Sales Associate will represent The Queen in the live music industry, engaging with clients, pursuing private events, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for artists and guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meet & exceed financial goals.
  • Solicit new business through sales calls, presentations, and relationship development.
  • Manage all client interactions up to and including event day.
  • Create proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Generate leads from various sources to expand the client database.
  • Schedule and conduct site visits and client meetings.
  • Assist in planning client appreciation events.
  • Develop strategic plans to drive sales and reach goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Create and distribute event orders.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and address operational issues.
  • Understand operational capabilities to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain office procedures for communication and record-keeping.
  • Represent The Queen at industry and office events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent stretching, bending, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event management.
  • Knowledge of music and concerts, both historical and contemporary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Good judgment, business sense, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Availability for performances and events, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn new software and systems.
