Job summary

KBR Careers seeks a Junior Reverse Engineer to join our Cyberwarfare team in the United States. You will dissect hardware, firmware, software, and network protocols to understand behavior, identify vulnerabilities, and develop proof-of-concept exploits to demonstrate impact.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, write automation tools, and stay current on threats and techniques. A Bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 0–4 years of demonstrated experience in reverse engineering or relevant security disciplines.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and software development principles.
• Proficiency in assembly language or C/C++.
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
• Experience with network protocols and security concepts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

KBR is seeking a talented Junior Reverse Engineer to join our Cyberwarfare team. In this role, you will apply your technical skills and curiosity to dissect and analyze various systems, from hardware and firmware to software and network protocols. You will be responsible for understanding system behaviors, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing proof-of-concept exploits to demonstrate the impact of those vulnerabilities. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja.
• Experience with hardware reverse engineering tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated curiosity: performs self-directed learning and tasking.
• Personal projects in Reverse Engineering, Capture the Flags, game modifications, or other related projects.

Basic Compensation

$80,000 to $115,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
