The NYU Stern Finance Department seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual for a full-time Junior Research Scientist position for a period of one year.
The Junior Research Scientist will work with faculty members of NYU Stern’s Finance Department. The research projects are at the boundary of Finance/Real Estate/Urban Economics/AI.

The Junior Research Scientist will start at the beginning of August or September 2027, though earlier start dates will be considered. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with applications submitted by November 15 receiving full consideration.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $51,700-$61,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
The work requires strong data science skills to scrape, prepare, maintain, manipulate, and analyze the data. The Junior Scientist will conduct extensive statistical analysis. Proficiency with AI methods, including agentic tools (such as Codex and Claude Code) is preferred.
