Job summary

RemotePeople, partnering with a leading Am Law 20 law firm in Chicago, seeks a Junior Real Estate Associate. The ideal candidate is based in Chicago, admitted in Illinois, and currently practicing in Real Estate at a peer BigLaw firm.

You will work on sophisticated commercial real estate matters, including M&A, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and fund formation, with a hybrid schedule and strong mentorship for laterally moving associates.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school is required.
• Preferably 2023, 2024 or 2025 law school graduate.
• Current or recent experience in the Real Estate practice of a peer BigLaw firm is desired.
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois is required.
• Strong academic credentials and exceptional analytical, writing and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate matters including Real Estate M&A and private equity transactions.
• Draft and negotiate joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and fund formation.
• Handle leasing, development and investment transactions across multiple asset classes.

Remote People is partnering with a leading Am Law 20 law firm to identify a high-performing Junior Real Estate Associate for its Chicago office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Associate currently practicing in the Real Estate group of a peer BigLaw firm and looking to continue developing their career on sophisticated, high-value transactions.

The ideal candidate is already based in Chicago and admitted to practice law in Illinois.

What you'll work on

You will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate matters, including:

• Real Estate M&A and private equity transactions
• Joint ventures
• Acquisitions and dispositions
• Fund formation
• Leasing
• Development and investment transactions across a wide range of asset classes

The broader Real Estate practice works with clients on transactions involving office, multifamily, industrial, logistics, hospitality, data centers, retail and other real estate assets.

What we're looking for:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
• Preferably 2023, 2024 or 2025 law school graduate
• Current or recent experience in the Real Estate practice of a peer BigLaw firm
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
• Strong interest in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
• Currently based in the Chicago area
• Available to start ASAP (within approximately 4-6 weeks preferred)
