Job summary

Odoo in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Software Developer in our Research & Development team. You will design, develop, and maintain features for our all-in-one business management software, with emphasis on innovation, usability, and scalability.

You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, be proficient in any programming language, and communicate clearly. 1–3 years of experience and familiarity with Odoo or ERP systems are a plus. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

About the Role

Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) – Brisbane, CA

As a Software Developer in our Research & Development department at Odoo, you will take part in the design and development of new features and technologies that enhance our all-in-one business management software. You'll also help improve and maintain existing modules, with a strong focus on innovation, usability, and scalability.

Our San Francisco R&D department focuses on adapting Odoo to the entire Americas region: especially accounting, along with payment acquirers, e-commerce, delivery carriers, point of sale.We develop open source integrated business apps to help millions of employees save time in their day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Odoo features and applications

Improve existing code to increase performance, usability, and reliability

Ensure the quality and consistency of developments through testing and reviews

Be responsible for what you develop

Work directly on the software you code for

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Any programming language

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to colleagues

Nice to Have

1-3 years of professional experience (internship experience is acceptable)

Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems

Open source contributions to established projects

The estimated annual compensation range for this role is$120,000-$140,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within, above, or below this range based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business needs, and location.
