Job summary

WorldQuant in Greenwich, CT seeks a Junior Quant Developer to join the Platform & Operations team. You will help design, develop, and maintain systems and tools that support portfolio management workflows, collaborate with portfolio managers and developers to translate requirements into practical solutions, and contribute to production reliability.

Ideal candidates have a technical background and experience with Python or C++, Bash, Linux, and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid practical experience in Python and/or C++.
• Good working knowledge of Bash scripting and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of systems, interfaces, and tools that support portfolio management workflows
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and developers to understand requirements and translate them into practical solutions
• Identify, investigate, and resolve issues in existing tools and infrastructure
• Monitor and support production systems, responding to incidents and ensuring reliability
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and technical documentation
• Continuously improve team productivity by maximising modern development tools and practices
